Founded in 1973, Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum not only includes the largest collection of works by the iconic Dutch artist, but also works by similar artists of his era including Paul Gauguin, Édouard Manet, and Georges Seurat. Among the museum’s collection of Van Gogh paintings are his famous Sunflowers and Bedroom in Arles, along with nine self-portraits. Exhibitions related to Van Gogh’s contemporaries and those he influenced rotate throughout the year.
