Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum is known for its elaborate collection of modern and contemporary artwork. The museum’s original Weissman Building, an example of the Dutch Neo-Renaissance architectural style, was built in 1874; in 2012, a second building called the Benthem Crouwel Wing opened as well. A variety of noted artists including Andy Warhol, Vincent van Gogh, and Roy Lichtenstein have artwork on display at the Stedelijk.
