Built in 1895, Two Temple Place is a classical art museum housed in a historic mansion. The neo-gothic London mansion, formerly the home of William Waldorf Astor, is famous for its sculptures and reliefs of famous historical figures and literary characters. Throughout the mansion’s exquisitely designed halls, visitors can spot Arthurian characters such as Morgan le Fey and Guinevere, Otto von Bismarck, Pocahontas, the Three Musketeers, and Rip Van Winkle among others. If you’re interested in literature, history, sculpture, or architecture, then Two Temple Place is worth your time; however, it is only open periodically.
