The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is a world-class modern art museum composed of works acquired by the famous American art collector. Located in Venice, the museum included artwork from many of the most famous 20th-century modern artists including Gino Severini, Salvador Dali, Francis Picabia, Marcel Duchamp, and Guggenheim’s ex-husband, Max Ernst. The collection is housed in an 18th-century palace that was also Guggenheim’s former residence; her gravesite is also located at the palace next to that of her many dogs.
