I am really impressed by the design of the the new Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking district. There are plenty of large windows, breathing room, and great views of the Hudson River and the High Line.
It might not be the most beautiful museum I’ve been to so far but it still hasn't lost its effect after all this time and I think thats what gives a museum it’s wow-factor.
Without thinking twice I’d say the most incredible museums I’ve ever visited are the Chichu Art Museum at the Naoshima Island designed by Tadao Ando and the Teshima Art Museum by Ryue Nishizawa at Teshima Island.
