One of LA’s newest museums, the Broad, opened in 2015. Built to display the art collection of founder Eli Broad, the museum’s architecture gives the space a unique look both inside and out. The exterior of the Broad is angular, lightly colored, and filled with small holes. While the interior features some well-lit rooms with white colored walls, the entrance to the museum is quite different. Here, rather than angles and edges, the concrete walls are dark colored and curved in shape. Ultimately, the Broad provides a great example of the creativity in modern museum architectural design in the 21st century.
