The small Dutch town of Eelde features the Museum de Buitenplaats. Visitors can enjoy sculptures, gardens, and landscape architecture while wandering the grounds outside and paintings, a cafe, and a gift shop inside.

Only a short distance south of the city of Groningen, the museum combines a 17th century estate, restored in 1971, with a modern garden from the year 2000. The Museum de Buitenplaats also opens up its facilities for arts and cultural events as well.
