The MAK Contemporary Art Tower in Vienna, Austria, is an art and design museum housed in a converted Nazi flak tower. Part of the Museum of Applied Arts (or MAK), the tower is currently closed for refurbishment, but should be an interesting spot to visit again in the future when it reopens. Ultimately, the museum causes one to ponder freedom of expression, tyranny, history, and art due to the building’s unique status as a former symbol of oppression.
